Ha ha, Cheney’s from hell! I once saw a bumper sticker that said “Bush-Satan ‘04,” and I thought it was brilliant. Funny, because true.

We should definitely picket, and I don’t know that we should necessarily exclude non-Twin Citites from the protest. kris’s sister came up in 2004 to canvas, remember? I’m sure we could gather some momentum and produce an effective protest. (Or, at the very least, a rockin’ reunion!)

That’s a great idea. Eating contests are much more of an American invention then, let’s say, democracy, invented by the Greeks, or freedom, which wasn’t invented by anybody at all (although the U.S. does abuse the concept for political purposes more than anybody else in the world. Woo-hoo!)

But I really do hope the Democratic convention is here, too. A chance to even things out a little and live in the most highly politicized town(s) of the next election, by far. And I’ll choose picketing over Canadian vacation (make it Carribean vacation and I might have to think about it).

Cheney’s from Madison, huh? Weird. I always thought he came straight from hell.

The funny thing is, the Twin Cities are still in the running to host the Democrats’ convention as well. If it’s here, it will take place about a week before the GOP hits town.

Frankly, I think they should just schedule them at the same time. We could call it DeathMatch ‘08 and set up a prize fight between the nominees. Loser has to eat 1 of every fried-food item at the State Fair, until he or she dies or cedes the race.
